Miss Shaela Evenson who was a teacher at the Butte Central Catholic Schools located in Montana, filed the suit earlier this month.

Court documents obtained by AP from the U.S. District Court in Butte, showed that Evenson had worked at the religious schools for over nine years.

The first time mom was a literary and physical educator for 6th, 7th and 8th graders.

The educator was released from her post in January of 2014, after school officials received an anonymous letter.

The note, which was sent to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Helena contained several personal information about the woman’s life.

It revealed that she was unmarried, was living with her female partner named Marilyn Tobin.

Other private details like the fact that she was able to get pregnant through artificial insemination were also shared.

Tobin and Evenson welcomed a healthy baby boy on March 7.

The former teacher has hired Brian Butler, a well known and powerful lawyer from Cincinnati with a compelling résumé.

Butler recently represented a woman from Ohio in an identical case.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Cincinnati was forced to award an unmarried teacher who got pregnant via artificial insemination $170,000.

Thus far the big shot attorney is succeeding in the case.

In February, he brought his client’s case to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and he was giving the green light to sue the school district.

According to Buttler, his client was fired because of her gender and sexual orientation. He explained that the school does not investigate the private lives of its male educators.

He further added that prior to getting the job, the woman did reveal that she was not a Christian and was in a relationship with a female.

The superintendent Patrick Haggarty said at the time of the firing that they had to let the teacher go because she breached her contract and went against the biblical laws. Haggarty added:

“The Catholic moral teaching is that the sacrament of marriage is a holy union between a man and a woman.”

In a strange turn of event, the head of the school has issued a statement saying that the teacher was not dismissed because she is in a same sex relation.
