Amy Dacey Email Fallout: DNC CEO, Brad Marshall, And Luis Miranda Resign

The fallout over the leaked DNC emails continues, for Amy Dacey, Luis Miranda, and Brad Marshall have resigned.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the embarrassing emails that were hacked possibly by Russians are still causing chaos in the Democratic Party. More than 19,000 emails have so far been posted on WikiLeaks.

Three top members of the party were forced to resign after the very public firing of Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Wasserman Schultz bid adieu to her post on the eve of the party’s convention in Philadelphia last week.

This time around, CEO Dacey, chief finance officer Marshall, and communications director Miranda left their posts. While all three employees showed support to Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders during the primary, Marshall is the one, who wrote the most controversial email. In the email, he questioned the senator’s Jewish faith. It said:

“Does he believe in a god. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage. I think I read he is an atheist. This could make several points difference with my peeps.”

He has since apologized for the emails. His Facebook post read:

“I deeply regret that my insensitive, emotional emails would cause embarrassment to the DNC, the Chairwoman, and all of the staffers who worked hard to make the primary a fair and open process. The comments expressed do not reflect my beliefs nor do they reflect the beliefs of the DNC and its employees. I apologize to those I offended.”

Longtime Democratic operative Donna Brazile is serving as the party’s interim chair.
