Hillary Clinton Health Drama: Dr. Drew Pinsky Says Her Issues Are Serious

Hillary Clinton‘s health is being questioned by Dr. Drew Pinsky and some Republicans. For the past week, Donald Trump, his spokesperson Katrina Pierson, and countless FOX News anchors including Sean Hannity have been hammering home on the unfounded claim that Clinton is not fit for office because she has poor health.

Mr. Hannity has been airing a video over and over that apparently shows Clinton having a seizure on live television. The Republican presidential candidate said in a speech that Clinton:

“lacks the mental and physical stamina to take on ISIS and all of the many adversaries we face.”

Pierson did an interview on MSNBC where she diagnosed Mrs. Clinton with dysphasia. Pierson said:

“It’s extremely important to note that Hillary Clinton has taken a lot of time off the campaign trail. What’s new are the other reports of the observations of Hillary Clinton’s behavior and mannerisms, specifically with what you just showed in those previous clips, as well as her dysphasia, the fact that she’s fallen, she has had a concussion…”

Appearing on KABC’s McIntyre in the Morning, Dr. David Andrew Pinsky claimed that he and good friend, Dr. Robert Huizenga, reviewed the treatments Clinton has received and were surprised. The interview, which was posted online by the TV station, has since been deleted, and no explanation has been given.

However, nothing is ever erased on the Internet, so here is a transcript of the interview. Dr. Drew, who is a TV personality, said Clinton’s doctors were using outdated methods to treat her. He explained:

“Both of us concluded that if we were providing the care that she was receiving, we’d be ashamed to show up in a doctor’s lounge. We’d be laughed out. She’s receiving sort-of 1950-level care by our evaluation.”

Pinsky also questioned the anticoagulant called Coumadin that she is taking. He stated:

“Certainly, the presidential candidate would get one of the newer anti-coagulates.”

Pinsky added:

“She’d been treated for hypothyroidism with something called Armour Thyroid, which is very unconventional and something that we used to use back in the ’60. And both [Huizenga] and I went, ‘Hmmm, that’s weird.’ And by the way, wow, Armour Thyroid sometimes has some weird side effects. When she hit her head, she had to wear these prism glasses when she came out. That is brain damage, and it’s affecting her balance. Now clearly, it hasn’t affected her cognition, but… that’s profound. It just seems like she’s getting care from somebody that she met in Arkansas when she was a kid, and you’ve got to wonder. You’ve got to wonder. It’s not so much that her health is a grave concern. It’s that the care she’s getting could make it a concern.”

Believe it or not, former Speaker Newt Gingrich has come out to defend Clinton and warned people not to listen to a doctor, who has never treated a patient give a “complicated, fancy-sounding analysis.” He said:

“I mean, I would be very cautious, and I would recommend to doctors for professional reasons to be very careful deciding you’re going to start analyzing people.”

He added:

“Because next you are going to get a left-wing psychiatrist explaining [Republican presidential nominee] Donald Trump in negative terms.”

The Clinton camp hit back with Joel Benenson saying:

“It must be driving his ego crazy that she’s outworking him, out-thinking him, connecting better with the American voters about the issues that matter in their life.”

Experts believe that the age and health arguments are tricky coming from a party with a nominee, who is older than Clinton.
