Alec Baldwin Joins Rock of Ages

Alec Baldwin will be joining the cast of the musical “Rock of Ages” which is New Line Cinema’s upcoming movie.

Directed by Adam Shankman, rumors have it that superstar Tom Cruise may join the cast as well as Julianne Hough who has already signed up to play the role of Sherrie. This news apparently came from Mr. Shankman who has Tweeted the latest infos to his followers.

With the growing star power attached to this musical that’s based on the Broadway musical it’s sure to attract lots of moviegoers. The musical isn’t dead as we have seen from the box office bang of the movie “Mamma Mia!” in 2008.

Baldwin and Cruise doing a musical is just something you don’t see every day and that’s going to weigh much on Hollywood’s power reigns. If it can be pulled off there will be people who will be scratching their heads in amazement for years to come.
