The Amy Winehouse smoking crack cocaine video surfaced online earlier today.You can watch it after the jump.Fans everywhere are urging the troubled singer to get her act together.On her website messages like these appeared:
“Amy, please get some help before it’s too late,” “You are a young woman with a lot of musical talent,” another said. “Don’t throw it all away.”
Amy is also being accused by some of wasting her talent:
“You ain’t a legend yet, baby, and — newsflash — you and Blake [husband Blake Fielder-Civil] ain’t Sid and Nancy. Time to get a reality check and lose the idiots around you who are supplying you with one hand and making money off you with the other.”
This scandal comes at the worst time for Winehouse,she was set to appear at the Grammy Awards ceremony,next month.Sky News entertainment editor Jon Bennett explains:
“The Grammy Awards ceremony takes place in early February and the American authorities will take a dim view of her visa application having seen this footage.
“She’s up for six awards at the show and there had been speculation that she would perform there, giving her a platform to be seen by a huge audience in the music industry’s biggest shop window.
“But this isn’t just about her career, if she really is smoking crack as the pictures suggest, then the decline of her health and state of mind — which have clearly been in freefall ever since the release of Back to Black — is clearly worsening.”
