Mia Farrow appeared as Mrs. Baylock, the Satanic nanny, in the remake of The Omen:666. Though the film itself received a lukewarm critical reception, Farrow's performance was widely praised, with the Associated Press(AP) declaring "thank heaven for Mia Farrow." Her performance resulted in, as the AP put it: "a rare instance of this new Omen improving on the old one." Filmcritic.com added: "it is Farrow who steals the show", and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer described her performance as "a truly delicious comeback of Rosemary in Rosemary’s Baby. The 20-year-old single mom, and daughter of former Vice Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin, is heading to next week’s “Dancing with the Stars” final round.

Despite four visits to the bottom of the “DWTS” leaderboard, Bristol and professional partner Mark Ballas made it to the final round, while Brandy and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who topped or tied for the top spot several times throughout Season 11, were sent home.

The shocking announcement rocked the ballroom when Brandy and Maks were revealed as having received the lowest total score following Monday night’s competition show. Maks put his head down as he heard the news and a number of members of the studio audience booed the results.

Cameras panned to finalist Kyle Massey, who put his hands on his hips, while his partner, Lacey Schiwmmer clapped, but gave a look of disappointment.

Jennifer Grey, who also made it through to the finals stood with her arms at her side and turned away, while her professional partner, Derek Hough’s jaw dropped as he clapped slowly.

Mark Ballas rubbed the arms of Bristol, who looked expressionless as she turned to Brandy and Maks.

“I don’t know how to feel right now,” Brandy said when show co-host Brooke Burke asked her reaction to the news. “It hasn’t processed yet for me.”

Maks, who has been vocal all season about a host of issues – in particular, judge Carrie Ann Inaba’s scoring — actually played it cool, despite the fact that he and Brandy scored 57 total points for their dances on Monday night, a full 4 points more than Bristol and Mark.

“I said it in many press interviews, one thing that I love… is the fact that people vote and their voices count and I love the fact that the show represents that,” Maks said. “It represents people’s choice and I don’t regret a second of the last five years of my being on the show and definitely not a second of me being on the season. It’s been an amazing journey.”

Judge Bruno Tonioli, who was disappointed to see Brandy go, made a surprising gesture on the live results show, asking her to come back next week and perform the freestyle she and Maks were working on when they were hoping to make the final round.

“Please, on Tuesday, when you come back, do it for me, for us. Come on…” he said as the camera panned to Brandy’s disappointed face.

"Then they spent five days filming scenes and now they will spend the next five days changing the house back to the way it was before," the source revealed.

Twilight fans all over the world have been in a frenzy to see the steamy scenes between the on-screen/off-screen duo.

"I don't know what's going on," Lambert said, accepting her trophy for female vocalist. "I just told Blake I think we need to go to church."

Standing next to her was country legend Loretta Lynn, who was honoured by event organizers for 50 years in the industry.

"It's been 10 years since I started making music," Lambert said backstage. "I feel more level headed than I thought I would. I hope it's the beginning. I hope in 50 years I'm like Loretta Lynn."

Earlier in the show, Lambert said Revolution, whose songs include The House That Built Me and That's the Way That the World Goes 'Round, had caused "a revolution in my life."

Indeed, in the past year Lambert's popularity has soared. She entered the night as the most-nominated female singer in the history of the CMAs with nine nods, overall.

Ahead of the telecast, she won best music video for The House That Built Me, and that record also earned song of the year honours for writers Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin.

Paisley pleased the crowd with his co-hosting duties alongside Carrie Underwood and a tearful speech when accepting his trophy for the year's best country entertainer.

After the show, Paisley said that if ever there was a year he wanted to win his award, it was this one.

"The day before the flood in Nashville back in May, we had everything we needed to start our tour in three weeks. Two days later we had almost nothing. But in three weeks we opened the tour ... It went off without a hitch and the rest of the tour was the same," Paisley said.

In other key awards, Lady Antebellum picked up the trophy for single of the year with their mega hit Need You Now, marking the second straight year the group has won that award. The trio also nabbed the honour, vocal group of the year.

Ralph Fiennes was praised for his ''slippery, slimy, supremely menacing Lord Voldemort'', while Helena Bonham Carter's Bellatrix Lestrange is ''more demented and dangerous than ever''.

Overall ''the tension never fades amid desperate chases, frantic escapes, titanic battles, noble deaths, electrifying encounters and enough humour to break the tension every now and again''.

The Guardian's review was markedly different, describing the film as a ''prolonged death rattle'' and rating it just two out of five.

Deathly Hallows feels ''largely indistinguishable from the six outings preceding it'', the paper said, while the mission to evade and defeat Voldemort is ''the same as it ever was''.

Director David Yates' effort was also described as ''looking great, in the way that a show home looks great'' while the roster of stars ''flit between the scenes with the satisfied air of jobbing actors who have been offered walk on roles at the world's most expensive fancy dress ball''.

The review also questions the long-term appeal of the franchise, saying: ''I can't shake the suspicion that these films are too obviously built for purpose and too lacking in wit, warmth and humanity to survive much beyond the moment.''

Called "Hold My Hand", the song was first recorded in 2007 and was leaked in an unfinished state on the Internet in 2008.

Jackson's Sony/Epic record label said Akon recently completed production on the track. It will be released globally on November 15 as the first official single from the album "Michael", which goes on sale on December 14.

Sony and the executors of Jackson's estate said they had a hand-written note from the "Thriller" singer, indicating his desire that "Hold My Hand" be the first single on his next project.

"The world was not ready to hear 'Hold My Hand' when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it," said Akon, who was known to be working with Jackson before his sudden death in June 2009 at the age of 50.

"But its time has definitely come; now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I'm so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols," the music producer said in a statement.

Sony also released details of the 10 tracks on "Michael" -- the first album of new material from the singer since "Invincible" in 2001.

Two of the tracks feature rapper 50 Cent and rocker Lenny Kravitz. Sony said the songs were the work of "an esteemed group of producers along with Michael Jackson. While primarily focused on songs that Michael worked on recently, there are also earlier compelling tracks."

Monday's release for digital sale of "Hold My Hand" follows the streaming on the Internet this week of another new track "Breaking News" from the upcoming album, which has met with initial skepticism.

Some music critics, along with a few of Jackson's family members, have said they do not believe the vocals on "Breaking News" really belong to the entertainer.

Jackson's estranged father Joe has said his perfectionist son would not have wanted his unfinished material released.

But last week Sony countered that after extensive research, it was confident the vocals are Jackson's own.

Sony and the executors of Jackson's estate said they had a hand-written note from the "Thriller" singer, indicating his desire that "Hold My Hand" be the first single on his next project.

"The world was not ready to hear 'Hold My Hand' when it leaked a couple years ago. We were devastated about it," said Akon, who was known to be working with Jackson before his sudden death in June 2009 at the age of 50.

"But its time has definitely come; now in its final state, it has become an incredible, beautiful, anthemic song. I'm so proud to have had the chance to work with Michael, one of my all time idols," the music producer said in a statement.

Sony also released details of the 10 tracks on "Michael" -- the first album of new material from the singer since "Invincible" in 2001.

Two of the tracks feature rapper 50 Cent and rocker Lenny Kravitz. Sony said the songs were the work of "an esteemed group of producers along with Michael Jackson. While primarily focused on songs that Michael worked on recently, there are also earlier compelling tracks."

Monday's release for digital sale of "Hold My Hand" follows the streaming on the Internet this week of another new track "Breaking News" from the upcoming album, which has met with initial skepticism.

Some music critics, along with a few of Jackson's family members, have said they do not believe the vocals on "Breaking News" really belong to the entertainer.

Jackson's estranged father Joe has said his perfectionist son would not have wanted his unfinished material released.

But last week Sony countered that after extensive research, it was confident the vocals are Jackson's own.

"Michael" has the backing of Jackson's official estate and is the latest commercial venture to capitalize on the singer's renewed popularity in death. Gustavo Cerati, lead singer of '80s sensation Soda Stereo, who has been in a coma since he suffered a stroke after a concert in Venezuela in May, was honored for his recent solo work. He won best rock song for "Deja Vu" and best rock album for Fuerza Natural.

Alex Cuba, a Cuban-Canadian songwriter and producer who has worked with Nelly Furtado, won for best new artist. Furtado's Mi Plan won for best female vocal album.
