“These allegations are completely false.Demi was wearing several tight plastic bracelets earlier that day which left indentations on her wrist.“

Kayla, hate to break it to you, but those are definietely not bracelet marks. being a former cutter, those look sadly similar to scars i have. i don’t think that demi should be judged because of this at all, in fact, she should be getting help, asap. cutting is, despite what a lotta ppl say, a serious problem. best of luck to her and her recovery :]

Sorry to say that those are definitely cuts. I was a cutter for a good 10 years and if I was in her position, whether it was what I wanted or not, the stress of it all would probably throw me back into some of those old habits.

Kayla, I agree with Rachel. I was a cutter for about a year and a half, and i finally managed to stop last year, but I’ll never forget it. Those aren’t bracelet marks, those look just like scars from self-harming.

Seriously someone should fire her rep. Bracelets? Are you serious? Anyone could have easily pulled of photoshopped but they had to come out and unintentionally CONFIRM that there were in fact marks there. Great.

I was not a cutter, but it’s obvious those aren’t from bracelets. I have those bracelets and I have never gotten those marks on my wrists. Also, if it were from her bracelets… well wouldn’t there be marks on the other side of her wrist? Instead they are only on the bottom part… which is also the most popular spot for cutters to, well, cut.

Uhm, I’m not a cutter but aren’t they suppose to be a reddish / tannish color. Demi’s marks are like purplish and it kinda looks like bruising like braclet being too tight like what her rep says. Im just wondering. they are so cuts!! i’ve never self harmed myself, but my friend has and i know the difference between bracelet/hair tie indentations and cuts. i always have indentations from my bracelets and hair ties because i leave them on for days and days (which isn’t good for my circulation, i know!) and they never leave marks like that. they are always red and fade away within an hour at THE MOST

Ok let’s say Demi is not a Cutter, and that Bracelet’s left those marks.
1.) Why are the marks rigid like a cut would leave from a razor? (if you look close you can see the marks are rigid. not big bumps from beads but rigid. a cutter would know it’s the same rigidness left from razor blade cuts)
2.) Why are the marks so far apart?
3.) Why are they not even? Some are shorter than the others, some start at the middle of her wrist and others go all the way across.
4.) Bracelet dye getting on your wrist DOES NOT look anything like that.
5.) And IF it is dye from the bracelets, then why are some parts darker than others and appear to be (imprinted) deeper in her skin.
6.) You can totally tell she is trying to hide her wrists with her dress, just look closer. If she isn’t a cutter why would she try and do that?
I have been a cutter for many many years.
Those marks,whether you choose to believe it or not ARE CUTS!
It’s so obvious it’s scary.
Of course her reps and Disney will say ANYTHING to say she’s not a cutter.
If you owned a Family Friendly Corporation, or were the Manager of someone with a Squeaky clean kid friendly image, of course you wouldn’t want people to think she was a self injurer or had any depression or anything..DUH!

From what I know, her parents are divorced and she rarely gets to see her father. Whoever said what reason could she possibly have to be a cutter shouldn’t assume that she doesn’t. I mean, besides the whole divorce thing, I’m sure being a celebrity at that age and having played opposite the Jonas Brothers, etc. is bound to give her stress.
Anyway, they sure don’t look like bracelet marks to me. I just hope she gets the help she needs, but no one should judge her because of that. Like you’re so perfect?

those marks are not from bracelets. i used to wear the sex bracelets, and in different sizes. they dont leave marks, and even if they did, they would go AROUND the wrist, and not just atop the veins.
i used to/sometimes still do cut, and those look suspiciously like my scars.

Okay, I personally think she cuts her wrist, but I don”t hold it against her. Apparently, before she was all big new Disney star, she “couldn’t get any auditions, and was living in Selena {Gomez}’s apartment in LA” Maybe she cut herself then, but not now. Because she sure as hell is NOT depressed now. Also, logically, she is most likely Right-Handed. And so, the cuts are on her LEFT hand. Because I assume most cutters that are right-handed would cut on their left hands. Also, most bracelts are worn on the hand you wear most. Your RIGHT hand if you’re right handed. And she most likely is. So you figure it out. And she’s quite skinny, so i doubt ANY gummy bracelt could be tight on her. But i don’t hold anything against her. That was the past. If she did indeed cut, she probably regrets it. So let her go.

I don’t cut but I do use my finger nails to drag through my sking and pull skin up. In all honesty those don’t look like bracelet indents. And if they are, those must be tiny tiny bracelets( I’ve seen the gummy bracelets and they are very big) because she has small wrists. In no way am I a fan of Demi Lovato but this caught my intrest (Not to look at anything she does though). If she honestly is a cutter than that means shes had some difficultys in her life and had to look for anyway she could. She needs to say something herself not from a rep. Otherwise everything is goanna keep floating for a while. Maybe doing it on her wrists was a call for someone to look at her and see her. If she’s really doing this, I hope the best for her.
I hate how the media is at her all the time, but it was something she chose.
Maybe it just wasn’t the picture she wanted and it resulted in these scars.
However, don’t you think that she should’ve covered them up with some really chunky bracelets or something? Exposing it like THAT is asking for way too much attention, and I’m not sure if Demi would do that. At Miley’s Sweet 16 with all of those cameras around, I would hope that she knew what she was doing.
In any case, I hope that she heals and figures out a new way to channel her feelings.
She writes music, so she could try and put it into that, or writing in general, or painting pictures, or something.
I just hope the best for Demi, and I hope that everyone can just understand that this happens, and no one can change that but the person who’s doing it.

I used to cut too..the marks look alot like mine after they were a few days old.
I think if she actually was wearing a tight gummy bracelet, the marks would go all the way around her arm. but i don’t think it matters because everyone has problems and it is unfair to assume that just because she’s famous she’s living a completely happy life. Hi, I’m a big fan of Demi Lovato these are definite marks from a blade which she cut herself with (she was just using the bracelets to hide the marks and her publist is covering-up the truth to help her positive career). If you listen to some of Demi’s songs the (sad ones) a lot of this makes since. I can tell that she has been hurt very bad in a past relationship and in her songs she tells the story of her pain inside. I also keep up with her personal twittering (I follow her on twitter) if you want to follow her too search for “ddlovato” on twitter. (I think since I’m a sensitive and an empath I can tell just by looking at pictures of her and what she types and says the truth behind it all) She seems very lonely even though she has many friends and is famous. She has been in love at a young age and was hurt by him. A lot of things she says has to do with sad things or overly exciting things so I would say she either has manic depression which is bipolar disorder or has major depression both of these are very dangerous especially if the person is alone a lot and I think she is alone a lot especially in her mind she feels alone. She travels a lot on her own especially when she goes on tour. She wants someone to connect with emotionally and someone who really understands her and I think she’s looking for that in a guy right now. In my opinion I think “Sterling Knight” is the guy for that they are both from Texas, both sing, they can hardly keep their eyes off each other I think most viewers can see this. I know for the summer they will hardly see each other if they will see each other at all (she’s touring with David Archuleta so it would be hard to) I hope they call each other. I believe they need to be together

No, those aren’t from bracelets, but Demi Lovato is my true hero and she is amazing. Please guys don’t let this one thing get mad. It was her choice, she could be stressed, I don’t know. Right, so, I used to be a cutter, and I have scars similar to hers, but I also used to wear tight plastic bracelets that gave me marks like that as well. But here’s a thought . . . Photoshop, maybe?
Anyway, nobody cares that Christina Ricci or Shirley Manson were cutters, so what’s the big deal if Demi Lovato is? Depression, stress, all kinds of things make all kinds of people do it. More importantly, it’s none of our business. She doesn’t care if we cut, so why should we care if she does? I’m a cutter, and like so many other cutters, I know what cuts look like. Gummy bracelets DON’T make that type of mark, and they’re NEVER that tight! So the rep can screw off, because those are definitely cuts. But I hope someone is helping her through this because cutting – especially when done on the wrist like that, right on the vein – is extremely dangerous and she could easily bleed to death if she cut too deep.

i have emo friends and friends who do harm theirself! i dont think those are from bracelets, because one, if they wore bracelets, the scars would of fade away by now, lets say, she wore the bracelets on dec,7 (before the party or whatever) the marks would of been gone before dec,11! or whatever ppl! and i only cut myself with a pen, when you cut yourself, of course it leaves marks but it kinda makes ur skin puff like demi’s “bracelet marks”, im pretty sure those are cut marks or maybe there was a really bad rash and she scratched so hard it left MARKS.

Well I have to say after all this speculation, I went to her concert a few nights ago in Indianapolis, Indiana. I work for a radio station and interviewed her and ask her about the wrist cutting pictures and after close inspection of her wrists, there were no scars or old cut marks. Believe me I would know what they look like. I am a weekend warrior(pro wrestler) and know what the scars look like even over substantial healing time and those weren’t scars…LOL

-i personally dont know anything about cutting so i wouldnt be able to tell if those are cutting scars,
but i wear about 10 braclets on my right wrist everyday &nd some of them are really tight; but none of them leave that kind of mark ; so i dont think there from braclets either.
_since there are previous picutres from back in september of demi with the same sort of cuts, it makes me think that they’re scars from a previous acciedent because i doubt shed cut her self in the same place, &nd then wear clothes to reveal the cuts more than once.
demi is my biggest idol &nd shes a smart girl, she seems really happy about the posotion shes in now, &nd i dont think shes upset enough to be cutting herself, &nd even if she did, i have a feeling shed cover them up woth long sleeves, braclets, or even make-up.

YEAHHHH, these are definitely scars. I’m a cutter as well. Anyone who’s left a comment on here who knows from personal experience what it’s like to cut knows that these are scars. I’m just really unsure how they managed to keep this SO hush hush, because this is the first I’m hearing about Demi. I think it’s shit when people judge for this. I was on a different website concerning Demi, and it was all hate mail. Everyone was saying that anyone who cuts is insane, crazy, weird, a freak. That is SO offensive, and it’s complete shit that people hate on cutters like that. EVERYONE in this entire world self-harms in one way or another. They don’t realize it though because sometimes it’s so subtle, but regardless, it’s a form of self-injury. Even things like pulling out your hair or eyelashes, over-eating, and smoking count as self-injury. EVERYONE does it, so it’s totally hypocritical to judge cutters. We as an entity of the world should all support things like this. And fuck everyone who hates on cutters. I say to hell with hate, and cutters unite!
