Dina Lohan on Today Show Talks Lindsay Lohan – Dina Lohan, the mother of Lindsay Lohan, recently stopped by “Today” to give a very candid interview with Matt Lauer. She said that her daughter does not have any serious issues with drugs and alcohol, and that she does an average amount of partying for someone her age, and blames most of her issues on the tabloids, which seem to make the issue seem much worse.

Lauer made her clarify the number of times that Lindsay has been to Rehab. This will make for her fourth trip to a rehab facility. When Lauer asked Dina if it was smart of Lindsay to leave the facility early, she responded by saying that it was not up to Lindsay to decide when she could leave, it was up to the courts. She went on to say that Lindsay is doing wonderfully at the facility as of right now.

Lauer also asked her if she was worried about Lindsay dying at a young age.
“Well, initially, I put her in Promises… oh gosh, why would you say something as horrible as that,” she replied.
When Lauer pushed her harder on the subject, she said that she did not have a crystal ball and was not going to speculate on the future of her daughter.

She said that Lindsay has had a hard time dealing with the magnification of her personal life in Hollywood, but that she has grown up a considerable amount over the course of the last few years. She also maintains that she does not have a serious problem with drugs and alcohol, and that she does not go through withdrawal symptoms during detox periods.
