Emma Watson Slams Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Twilight – Emma Watson, while promoting the new Harry Potter movie (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows) in which she plays Hermione Granger has decided to criticize the Twilight saga.
There is no denying the English actress knows how to grab headlines.
“It’s not ‘Twilight,’ you know,” the British actress said. “We’re not selling sex. Whenever there is any hint of that, everybody gets terribly excited.”
The actress explained that in Harry Potter, the kiss between the characters of Hermione and Ron arrived after eight films.
It is true that the protagonists of Twilight have not waited so long to jump on it.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart numerous fans are not going to like what Emma said.
But why would Emma Watson so severely attack Twilight? Is she trying to kill her good girl image? Does she have a point?

HP has 8 books? It has sold 400 mill copies. Twilight has 4 books and has sold 100+ mill copies worldwide. Now do the math. It seems that twilight has outpaced HP even in book sales. Take note also that out of the 7 billion that these vampire flicks has brought to Hollywood, 85 to 90% basically belongs to Bella and Edward, and its just the half of it. Expect more billions coming from the two BDs.
Another thing is, if it is true that emma is making dollars out of every HP receipt, then its very likely that she’s putting food on her table in the expense of Rob’s sweat and that of the Twi-fans’. What with all the sales coming from GOF and TOP DVDs and Blu-rays….

Well, gee if you really would like to do the math, then in reality, HP books have sold 100++++ million copies WORLDWIDE. Twilight has only sold 400 million copies. So if HP has sold more than 100 million, then maybe about 800 million was sold! Also, JK Rowling has her own amusement park. Hows that for math? Emma has nothing to be jealous about, seriously.

I hate to comment, because all I can see here is a girl who tried to control her green monster, but failed to do so. Have you seen the NMA? Its all available in youtube. The earpiercing scream whenever Rob’s name and twilight are called nearly knock London bridge down. One petulant actor presented the most anticipated movie of the summer, and i havent seen such rude reaction by a person, given the seriousness and formality of the ocassion. Their rude reactions to Robet’s name and twilight is everything I need to make this conclusion. The whole bunch is envious of what Cedric had attained. Empire did not even skim on twilight, but why she made the comparison, forsaking the fact that its not even relevant to why she’s being interviewed?

Well all I can say is I liked both Harry and Edwards films. Emma can say whatever she wants too. The truth is that after Harry films are done where will they be. Have any of the actors from Harry done any other films besides Robert P.? I love the films don’t take this in a neg. way but the twilight films have a certain draw to them that Harrys lacks. I’m just glad that by the third Edward film they got better. Lets all be honest girls the first film fell way short due to the lack of direction that was given by it’s director. Both of the films have very talented young actors which I give most of the credit to the films success. After Harry and Edward are done in a year or so we will all have the DVD’s and books to remind us of how great they both are.
Also I can’t see Twilight being popular 13 years from now.

Actually Twilight is selling Romance not sex. The actors have abstained from consummating their relationship until marriage. One of the thing always written and discussed is the fact that the characters decide to abstain from having sex until after marriage.
Emma Watson mentioned Twilight because as a way to bring attention to the Harry Potter films.

I have seen all of the Harry Potter movies and still had to look up her name to find out who she really was exactly. Yes, Twilight is a “vampire – human – shape shifter” love story or romance story..I won’t deny that…but if Edward was a normal looking pudgy-ish looking guy…would these movies have done as well as they have…or if Jacob wore a huge ugly sweat shirt rather than a tight tank top or being shirt-less..everyone would be as obsessed with these movies??? no I personally can’t say that I agree with that. The book describes the vampires as beautiful creatures, so it was only right for them to get some who looked semi perfect fitting to the books. And the book described Bella as pretty average girl and I think they fit that perfectly. And also please remember that it’s fiction, make believe. But if you personally only see the sex part on all the characters that’s on you, because what it selling the books and movie is the STORY!

Twilight isn’t just about sex it’s more of a love story that leads up to sex in the final novel but I don’t know if it’s just me but I don’t think what she said was that bad. Honestly…I don’t think Emma meant literally having sex…It is more about the physical appearance of the actors (robert pattinson looking like a “model” and also Taylor Lautner shirtless throughout the second and third movies). I think this illustrates Emma is not one of the brainwashed millions and is more grown up than the majority of people her age.

Twighlight…only the girls read the books and the boys laughed their way through the first Twilight movie. It is def. a movie for teenage girls. Jealousy i think not, Harry Potter Fan base is bigger and better then Twilight, yes the saga knocked HP of the best seller list but only after the 1st movie. i remember people in my hometown(Orlando, Fl) waited days in lines for the 1st HP book. Twilight didnt get that kind of hype till they started putting the ACTORS on the cover of the book. and sex is implied all thru out Twilight, yes it isnt until the last book that they have sex, but that is all Eclipse is really about. Bella wanting sex and to be changed by Edward, dont get it twisted Bella didnt beleive in MARRIAGE but to get what she want she had to agree to it. you dont have to have sex talk/sceens for a story to be all about it.

In the Potter series, love slowly grows, difficult at time, but still grows into a wonderful relationship. Twilight IS about sex in Belle’s eyes. Meyer’s books begin with Bella wanting to know if sex was possible in the first book. Yes, Bella has thrown herself numerous times at Edward, so yes the Twilight series is based on danger, sex, and and the last book, Breaking Dawn, is a highly over exaggerated story. Have you read the Twilight books? Well, it’s no secret that the characters are going to have a baby in Twilight. What do you think they have to do in order to have a baby? Have sex… duh!
