“Borrowed” centers on a Manhattan attorney who becomes involved with her best friend’s fiance after her 30th birthday. “Blue,” published a year later, told the same basic story but from the point of the view of the best friend, a shopaholic publicist.

The flicks are Swank and her producing partner, Molly Smith,very first films together.
