Katherine Heigl Removes Name From 2008 Emmy Race
Katherine Heigl was pictured leaving Les Deux in Hollywood,last night.Grey’s Anatomy actress Katherine Heigl has removed herself from this year’s Emmy race because Grey’s writers did not provide her with award-winning worthy material.Heigl told the L.A. Times Envelope’s Tom O’Neil:
“I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention,” “In addition, I did not want to potentially take away an opportunity from an actress who was given such materials.”
Katherine won the 2007 Best Supporting Actress in a Drama Series Emmy Award for her role as Dr. Isobel Stevens on the ABC medical drama.
Her dumb ass will not be missed at the ceremony.
