Lindsay Lohan Lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley Resigns – Lindsay Lohan was recently sentenced to 90 days in jail, followed by 90 days in a rehab facility following violation of her parole after 2007 DUI arrest. The trouble started when Lohan failed to appear at a mandatory court date during the Cannes Film Festival. Lohan claimed that she had lost her passport and was unable to return to the US in time for her appointment. The judge said at the time that she did not believe Lohan, and that she suspected that the star may have been out partying.

When she arrived in court for her sentencing, Lohan had painted the words “f— u” on her fingernails. Her rage in the wake of her sentencing reportedly has forced her attorney, Shawn Chapman Holley, to resign. A statement released by the lawyer states that she will no longer be representing Lindsay Lohan. When Holley was called for comment on the sentencing, she told TMZ that she would no longer be representing Lohan.
On Thursday, she had described Lindsay’s sentence as “unfair,” and vowed that she would do everything in her power to see that the jail time is reduced. Now it appears that she may have had enough of Lohan’s wild antics.
“The reality is that Ms. Lohan, like most defendants, had to balance work commitments and court requirements,” she said in the wake of the sentencing. “To be punished so severely for doing so, particularly in light of the fact that she substantially complied with each of her probationary conditions, is harsh and unfair.”
