Michael Richards wants blacks to forgive him
Apparently Michael Richards thinks that using, the N word can be cool.Next step,he will say what happened last week was just part of a new rap routine.
Tmz reported this morning:”Michael Richards’ tour of contrition continued on Sunday when he appeared on the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s radio show to apologize for his racist rant at a comedy club.
He said that he was “shattered” by his actions, and that his N-word-laced tirade towards black patrons at the Laugh Factory, shown exclusively on TMZ, came through him “like a freight train.” What’s more, Richards told Jackson that his rant was fueled more by anger than by prejudice. Still, Richards also tried to impute some of his racist screed to common vernacular. He said that he fears “young whites will think it’s cool” to use such hateful slurs because they see “very cool people in the show business” using the word freely. Presumably, Richards wasn’t referring to himself.
In a desperate effort to salvage what’s left of his poisoned reputation, a “shattered” Michael Richards told Reverend Jesse Jackson that he “loves” black people, adding that some of his “best friends were African-Americans.”
Interviewed on Jackson’s “Keep Hope Alive” radio show on Sunday, the former “Seinfeld” star again claimed that he harbors no racist feelings toward black people, and blamed his racist diatribe on months of pent up rage that, “has no color.”
Richards explained that he should have recognized his problem, when his frustration with hecklers started affecting his comedy routine. “It’s a rough and tumble environment,” Richards claimed, “I’ve been noticing how aggressive my work had been getting.”
Jackson was convinced that the problem had deeper roots, telling Richards, “You used the word nigger, and then the lynching scene … have you been here before?” Richards responded, “No, no, no, no, no. That’s why I’m shattered by it. The way it just came through me like a freight train.”
According to Richards’ publicist, Howard Rubenstein, the disgraced actor has already begun psychiatric counseling in Los Angeles to learn how to manage his anger and understand why he made the racist remarks.
I wish him luck on his quest for forgiveness.

The point is that he’s not really trying. If he wasnt a celeb he wouldnt even been doing all this work. ITS A CAREER MOVE, and thats why he is using his publicist at a time like this. I do think he’s sorry though, but not for what he said, but because he got caught. Thats why he didnt even apologize until the video was shown on TMZ. If he was truely sorry he would’ve apologized the night after, which he didnt. Not to mention, he’s trying to apologize on TV and Radio, like as if hes on tour or something. HE SHOULD HAVE TRACKED DOWN THE AFRICAN AMERICANS in the audience, and apologized to them first……… not to the people in the audience of a comedy show like letterman!!!!!
