Nicole Kidman Says No To Violence Against Women
Nicole Kidman was pictured at the press conference against violence towards women at the United Nations in New York City,last night.Despite her pregnancy,the actress is still fully committed to her role as a UN goodwill ambassador.Here’s what she said at the UN headquarters on Tuesday:
“One in three women will encounter violence in some way, shape or form against them in their lifetime.”
For Kidman this violence against women remains a silent and shameful issue,she explained:
“What we’re trying to do is say this is not something that has a stigma attached to it. This is something we can talk about in communities, in countries, that we can help, that we can get laws implemented.”"I’m seven months pregnant so I’m sort of lying low at the moment, but if there were certain parliaments that would do these public signings, then I would be willing to get on a plane and go and say thank you - and bring whatever attention I can bring … within my own health restraint.”
Nicole is doing something positive here but on a negative note,let us pray that her baby will look like the father.
