Nicole Richie is feeling the heat over an email invitation sent out for a party she co-hosted Sunday night, attended by Mischa Barton.
In explanation, Richie’s rep said:

Her reference to Memorial Day was in no way meant to offend anyone but was simply an expression of her distaste for the current situation.”
