Scarlett Johansson And Sean Penn Not Dating

All the scintillating talk about Scarlett Johansson and Sean Penn being a couple is much ado about nothing, according to the starlet’s reps.

Us Weekly has claimed that the two Hollywood veterans – both of whom are fresh out of relationships – are hooked up.

Not so, says the rep: “Scarlett and Sean are not dating – they have been friends for years,” the rep insisted. “Nothing more, nothing less. They have been talking over the last few months regarding Haiti Relief and Scarlett’s upcoming trip to Haiti as Oxfam’s Global Ambassador.”

Penn’s camp wasn’t so quick to deny the rumor – but then can you really blame them?

For anyone having trouble keeping score, Penn is just out of his marriage with Robin Wright and Johansson hers with Ryan Reynolds. Penn would have his work cut out for him to fill some studly shoes.

But don’t feel too sorry for Reynolds yet, he’s got rumors swirling around him about a link with Sandra Bullock.

Despite the rep’s contentions, the Johansson/Penn relationship isn’t out of the realm of possibility. Penn has always had a knack with the women, and he does have two Academy Awards. And then there’s always that 24 year age difference.
