Shakira Gives More Than Herself

Shakira was pictured while speaking and performing during “Giving - Live At The Apollo” presented by the MTV and Clinton Global Initiative last night.
The Colombian was among a long list of celebrities including comedian Chris Rock, Bono and Alicia Keys to join former President Bill Clinton at Harlem’s historic Apollo Theater for forum on youth activism that was sponsored by MTV.
For her part, Shakira promised to contribute $40 million to help reconstruct areas in South America hit by recent natural disasters.
The singer will contribute the amount from the foundation Latin America for Solidarity Foundation (ALAS), which she co-founded with Nobel Prize winning author Gabriel Garcia Marquez.
Shakira has a lot going on for her.
