Shawn Johnson Gold:Shawn Johnson Balance Beam-Shawn Johnson got her gold medal at the balance beam finals in the Beijing Games,earlier today.Johnson,from West Des Moines, Iowa,scored 16.225 points on her routine,to grab the last women’s gymnastics gold medal awarded in China.Nastia Liukin gave Johnson a hug and said:
“Finally.”
Shawn added:
“When I didn’t get that gold, of course you get different emotions.” “But just looking back on it and actually knowing and appreciating that I had a medal, it means more to me than anything. The whole experience, and everything that’s happened, it’s just the best feeling ever.”
