The romance was intertwined with their movie careers. The two superstars met while working on Days Of Thunder in 1989, and their relationship more or less fizzled after Eyes Wide Shut in 1999.
Some blamed their demanding last film together directed by the iconoclast Stanley Kubrick. Others say Scientology, which is very important for Cruise, was the main driver behind their shocking divorce.
Twenty years later, no one is close to finding the truth. Kidman, 54, went on to marry country music star Keith Urban, 53, in 2006. They have two daughters together — Sunday Rose Kidman Urban, born in 2008, and Faith Margaret Kidman Urban, who is 10 years old.
Mr. Cruise was married to Dawson’s Creek actress Katie Holmes from 2006 to 2012, and they have a daughter together — Suri Cruise, who turned 15 in April.

An intriguing piece about the actress is accompanied by stunning photos where Kidman appears more or less shirtless. The Nine Perfect Strangers star does not go into detail when it comes to Cruise, but she did make a rare statement about her ex.
Kidman said jokingly: “I was young. I think I offered it up?” When talking about her relationships, she said: “Maybe I’ve gotten a bit more trepidatious, but I’m always trying to be as open as possible. I just prefer to live in the world that way.”

She continued: “I’m wary at times, and I’ve been hurt, but at the same time, I much prefer a warm approach rather than a prickly shut-down approach. My husband, Keith [Urban], says that when he met me, he said, “How’s your heart?” And I apparently responded, ‘Open.'”
For Kidman, there is work in love, but she is content to be on this journey with her spouse. She explained: “We’re always working through stuff, but it’s very much love-based, so there’s an enormous amount of give and take. ‘I want him to have the best life he can have, and he responds the same way. We really love parenting together.”
This might be the furthest Kidman will ever go when it comes to her union with the legendary Mission Impossible star.
