According to sources in contact with the family, the situation remains challenging.
Prince William Prioritizes Family Over Public Life
The Prince of Wales, who is the king-in-waiting, has consciously scaled back his royal work to prioritize his family, including his wife, the Princess of Wales, as she completes her nine-month course of chemotherapy.
His current focus is on his wife and their three children: Prince George (12), Princess Charlotte (10), and Prince Louis (7), following a period of significant family health challenges.
One source explained that his reduced public presence is understandable, given his wife’s recent health issues, and added: “He’s cut down on his work engagements to be more present over the past year and a half. He’s always there for support, but it will take time.”
Kate‘s team manages her schedule daily due to sudden fatigue from her cancer and chemotherapy. Her appearances at events are now uncertain, as she needs rest. As a staff member said, certainty is no longer possible.
The royal staff stated: “Royal aides and event planners often receive short notice days in advance. Due to Kate’s day-to-day health assessments, there can be last-minute decisions, aren’t focused on keeping up appearances. She’s focused on her recovery. Once that happens, things will change, so they’re getting in as much family time as possible.”
