This week, it became official that the disgraced younger brother of King Charles III is persona non grata. Prince Andrew released a statement to the BBC explaining that he had voluntarily relinquished all of his titles and last honors.
Royal Family Forces Andrew’s Hand
However The Daily Mail and PEOPLE Magazine, revealed that Prince Andrew was initially reluctant to relinquish his privileges.
However, King Charles and the heir to the throne, Prince William, applied pressure, telling him that it was time for the curtain to fall.
Prince Andrew’s downfall took another turn last week after the publication of Virginia Giuffre‘s post-mortem book, where more horrific details were shared about her unfortunate encounters with the Prince.
She explained, for example, that she was forced to sleep with Andrew three times, otherwise there would be consequences from Jeffrey Epstein.
Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing, including during the “trainwreck” of an interview with the BBC.
He explained that the accusations are inaccurate and that he was being unfairly blamed for things he did not do. Sources did tell The Daily Mail that it is true King Charles is doing his best to remove Andrew from Royal Lodge.
With pressures mounting from both public scandal and within the Royal Family, Andrew’s living situation has come under renewed scrutiny.
Unexpected Castle Offer In Scotland
As Prince Andrew contemplates his next move, his situation takes an unexpected turn. He has received an unconventional offer: Barrister Samantha Kane has formally offered her multi-million-dollar Sutherland property, Carbisdale Castle, to Andrew and his family.
Barrister Samantha Kane believes Andrew has been mistreated by the Royal Family and anticipates his eviction from the Windsor estate, citing ongoing attempts to remove him.
In the letter, Kane wrote: “I am writing to the prince to offer my castle for his exclusive use – and that of his family, including his former wife, Sarah Ferguson. I feel strongly that he is being hounded unfairly. He remains innocent of these allegations. I am also prepared to offer to represent him against these allegations and over moves to oust him from his current property. I really think he has been treated badly.”
She added: “In response to the King sending Prince Andrew into exile in the Highlands, I am happy to make Carbisdale Castle available to Prince Andrew, as it is more fit to receive a Prince than, with the greatest of respect, the Castle of Mey. I believe the Prince, like anyone else, must not be judged by public opinion without a proper hearing which he was not given.”
The attorney concluded by saying that she hopes that Prince Andrew will accept her generous offer. She wrote: “I will also be largely based in London for a while to concentrate on a number of important cases. I hope he takes up my offer.”
She bought the home in 2022 for several million when it was a 19-room hostel.She poured her money and energy into a complete renovation of the castle, adding eco-lodges that created her own version of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon on the property’s grounds.
However, she did attempt to sell it a few years ago for five million. When she was unable to, she put it back on the market again for £3.5 million ($4.6 million).
She purchased the property in hopes of becoming a real-life princess.The castle of Sutherland (Carbisdale Castle) was originally built in 1907. It belonged to Mary Caroline, the Duchess of Sutherland. It was a gift to King Haakon of Norway during the Nazi occupation.
Barrister Samantha Kane’s Journey
Kane, who is offering her castle to Prince Andrew, has an interesting life story. Kane was born a man named Sam Hashimi in Iraq, but she had surgery in 1997 to become Samantha.
In 2004, she had surgery again to become Charles Kane. And then in 2018, she had surgery again to become Samantha. She is a trained engineer, barrister, and businesswoman.
Frogmore Cottage Or Carbisdale Castle For Prince Andrew?
It is not known if Andrew will accept the offer, but seeing that he will likely be offered a small home such as Frogmore Cottage, which once belonged to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, he may decide to go live at Carbisdale Castle instead.
