It seems like the popular Netflix series House of Cards has reached its end after the sixth and final season, as announced by the lead actress Robin Wright.

The talented TV star shared a photo on Instagram posing as her character from the show, Claire Underwood.

The picture looks quite sinister, especially with the blood that can be seen dripping on Claire’s hands. A few observers are wondering if the photo does not suggest that Claire is involved in the demise of Frank Underwood.

Wright’s post comes in time to announce that the sixth season of the TV series is finally done. So far, the actress has not given away any details regarding the plot of the new episodes, but she expressed her profound gratitude towards her colleagues from House of Cards.

Wright thanked both the cast and the crew for the wonderful time they spent while filming the political drama. The actress stepped in the center of the series after the other lead actor, Kevin Spacey, was removed from the show in November last year because of the multiple accusations of sexual misconduct that he had to face.

At the time, no further information from Spacey’s representatives had been issued, other than the statement that the Oscar-winning actor needed to take the time off in order to seek reevaluation and treatment for his problems.

After the scandal broke, Spacey entered a professional facility in Arizona that deals with sexual rehabilitation. It is the same place that was chosen by Harvey Weinstein for treatment.

The sixth and final season of the series is going to be the first one without Spacey as the central player. The only sure thing is that Wright will finish as the lead figure in the political drama and fans could expect the return of many peripheral characters who appeared in previous seasons of the series.

Some fans say that they will have a hard time watching the series without Spacey.
