John Goodman reveals weight loss journey secrets.
The 69-year-old The Conners star has lost a lot of weight in recent years. After reaching over 400 pounds, he said it was time for a change. This journey began in 2007.
In 2017, the talented actor told ABC: “In the old days, I would take three months out, lose 60 or 70 pounds, and then reward myself with a six-pack or whatever and just go back to my old habits. This time, I wanted to do it slowly. Move, exercise. I’m getting to the age where I can’t afford to sit still anymore.”
He also told AARP in 2018: “It was basically just portion control and ‘I don’t need it. I was just shoving everything into my mouth.”
Goodman has hired a personal trainer, Mackie Shilstone, and this has made a huge difference. He stated: “It takes a lot of creative energy to sit on your ass and figure out what you’re going to eat next. I wanted to live life better.”

Mr. Goodman has been putting a lot of effort into his physique lately, and he has managed to shed more than 200 pounds over the months, which he has been proud to show off.
He recently appeared in a pair of slimming jeans and a nice outfit that complemented his new looks, seeming quite lively and energetic.
The star has been on the road to weight loss for over a decade, and even though he has had his ups and downs, he has managed to lower his weight significantly over the years.
He explained that he had a tendency to fall back into his harmful habits, and it did not take him long to relapse after a successful weight loss streak in the past.
However, at some point, he realized that he needed to take matters into his own hands and has been working hard to ensure that he will be able to enjoy a healthy body.

The transformation has been significant, and Goodman is hardly recognizable from the days of his iconic role as Fred Flintstone.
Even some of his own fans have claimed that they could hardly believe they were looking at the same person following his weight loss.
According to Goodman, the battle is not yet over — but it is good to see that he is winning and that he has decided to follow the path to improvement.
