The project will be released via RCA Records on December 8. Music lovers know that it will be good because songwriter and OneRepublic lead singer Ryan Tedder will serve as executive producer.

Mr. Tedder’s credits include Beyoncé‘s “XO” and Miley Cyrus‘s “Angels Like You.” With the help of the gifted hitmaker, McRae hopes to take her career to the next level.

The 20-year-old is already well on her way to superstardom. “Greedy” has hit number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Many expect it to climb higher in the upcoming weeks. The track is also a top 3 hit in many European countries.

McRae will be a musical guest on SNL

Moreover, McRae is likely to get a boost from her appearance on Saturday Night Live on November 18. While she will be the musical guest, actor Jason Momoa will be the guest host of the episode.

The cover art for Think Later has dropped and builds on the hockey imagery of the “Greedy” music video. Some observers see it as a nod to her Canadian roots.

Tate McRae loves working with Ryan Tedder

The Calgary native, who has developed a cult-like following on TikTok, recently gave Billboard her thoughts on the recipe for making hits.

She said: “I think I have a pretty good grasp on what my fans like to hear and what they enjoy. But I don’t think you ever really know. I was like, ‘This is a big risk for me as an artist’ — turning 20, I felt like I had to make a big change in my life and my sound. And you can only see so much on TikTok. You never know which direction it’s gonna go, or if it’s going to translate. So it’s been pretty special.”

When it comes to working with veterans like Tedder, she tries to learn. She added: “I just try to be a sponge as much as possible, and just see where their instincts go. It feels like a little family, and we’re just like trying out new sounds and being ballsy and being like, ‘How do we take a bigger risk and say something different?’”

Fans love the new album cover

As for her numerous fans, they love the album cover and cannot wait to stream the new record. One of them wrote on social media: “I‘M SO EXCITED AND I JUST CAN‘T HIDE IT.”

Tate McRae’s previous record I Used to Think I Could Fly, which was released in 2022, was well received by critics and also did well commercially. It delivered hit songs like “She’s All I Wanna Be” and “Chaotic.”

She has drawn comparisons to Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo. Two other Gen-Z artists who occupy unique lanes in the music industry.
