Leonardo Dicaprio saves co-star’s life »

Movie star Djimon Hounsou has Leonardo Dicaprio to thank for saving his life after the brave Titanic actor stood between his Blood Diamond co-star and a killer intent on shooting the African.

Hounsou remains puzzled as to why the gunman took exception to him while he was filming the new action film in Mozambique, but he’s sure he’d be wounded or dead if it wasn’t for the heroics of DiCaprio.

He explains, “He stood in the way of somebody who was trying to shoot me.”

“We went to eat somewhere and apparently somebody was threatening to kill me there. Leo said, ‘Well, you’re gonna have to go through me.’”

That was enough to make the gunman think twice and he fled the scene, leading a grateful Hounsou pouring praise on his pal.

Modest DiCaprio has refused to even discuss the matter during promotional interviews for the new film. He will only talk about his great friendship with Hounsou.

He explains, “We became like brothers on this movie… We were together for six months.”

So this guy Djimon character wants us to believe that Leonardo Dicaprio jumped in front of a crazed gunman to save his life. And the gunman (i.e. the guy holding the gun) was so scared of Leo that he ran away. Mind you this occurred in Africa, where they routinely kill people for sport. Also keep in mind that Leo once uttered the faggish line “I’m King of the World!” while leaning off the front of a boat. So yeah, basically everyone’s lying.

“OJ — I Got Paid “Blood Money”

O.J. Simpson laughed off suggestions that he might not have gotten paid by News Corp. for his book and the television special that recently got nixed, but he says he’s blown it all already. The New York Daily News reports that Simpson made around $660,000 for his “efforts,” an amount that was revealed by News Corp. so that, according to a News Corp. rep, the families of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman can pursue them. But looks like it’s too late — O.J. says he’s already spent all the money on “bills,” and he’s not apologetic. “I’ve been pimped for 12 years. Everyone’s made money on me,” he said yesterday. “It’s all blood money and, unfortunately, I had to join the jackals.”

Poor O.J ,If I had time,I would almost feel sorry for him.But unfortunately ,I have better things to do.

Jay Z leaves Beyoncé in the cold »

Hey Jay-Z, a word of advice — don’t leave a lady like Beyoncé Knowles out in the cold.

While the Jiggaman partied it up inside Area for an American Music Awards after-party, his bootylicious babe stayed in the car like a puppy patiently waiting for its owner.

After leaving Beyoncé sitting with her driver for at least 40 minutes, Jay finally emerged from the club to join his Naughty Girl in the couple’s silver Mercedes.

With Beyoncé’s latest single touting the lyrics, “I can have another you in a minute,” Jay-Z better start being a little more attentive before he’s left out in the cold.

Two years before attacking blacks,Michael Richards attacked Jews »

Did Michael Richards attack the Jews? Two Los Angeles residents have come forward and said that’s exactly what happened last Spring at L.A. comedy club, The Improv.

Carol Oschin and J.P. Fillet say they were at The Improv on April 22 when Richards took the stage. They say that in the middle of Richards’ skit, a man in the audience said something to the comedian, when Richards allegedly launched into an anti-Semitic rant. According to Oschin, Richards screamed at the audience member, “You f***ing Jew. You people are the cause of Jesus dying.”

Oschin says the rant continued and Richards stormed off the stage. Oschin and Fillet say that, at first, they thought Richards’ tirade was part of his act, but claim that it quickly became apparent it was not.

Richards’ publicist, Howard Rubenstein, confirmed to TMZ that Richards did make derogatory comments about Jews, but says it was part of his act. Rubenstein says Richards told him, “I’m not anti-Semitic. I was playing a role and poking fun at the rednecks.”

Britney Spears is angry over American Music Awards Sketch »

She played it cool on stage, but Britney Spears was “pissed” at ABC over a derogatory sketch aimed at her estranged husband, Kevin Federline, during last night’s “American Music Awards,” a Britney rep tells TMZ.E!’s Marc Malkin first reported Brit was upset, and now a rep for Brit tells TMZ, “She had no idea” that the skit would immediately precede her appearance. We’re told Britney was “incredibly upset” and “inconsolable.”

The sketch featured AMA host Jimmy Kimmel sealing a Federline look-a-like in a wooden crate and shipping him out to sea. Kimmel called K-Fed,”the world’s first ever no-hit wonder.” Less than five minutes later, Kimmel introduced Spears as a surprise presenter.

When contacted, a rep confirms to TMZ the idea for the skit was Kimmel’s and he went forward with it because, “I knew they wouldn’t mind because I know they both have great senses of humor.”

Wesley Snipes thinks he’s a victim »

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

Actor Wesley Snipes has told a newspaper columnist he is being unfairly targeted by federal prosecutors who indicted him on tax fraud charges.

“It appears I’m to be the scapegoat, because there’s more public interest in `celebrities gone bad’ than `rich people being taken advantage of,’” Snipes wrote last weekend in an e-mail to Orlando Sentinel columnist Scott Maxwell according to the Associated Press.

“I will abide by the law, seek the protections the law affords me and, as always, seek the advice of competent council in effort to resolve this issue,” Snipes, who is reportedly in Namibia filming a movie, wrote to the columnist. “I’m not running, I’m not a fugitive, despite the misrepresentations in the press.”

An Oct. 17 indictment charges Snipes with fraudulently claiming refunds totaling nearly $12 million in 1996 and 1997 on income taxes already paid. The star of the “Blade” trilogy and other films was also charged with failure to file returns from 1999 through 2004.

According to the indictment, Snipes had his taxes prepared by American Rights Litigators, a firm with a history of filing false returns to reap payments for their clients while receiving 20 percent of refunds.

“There is no deal that has been worked out,” U.S. Attorney’s Office spokesman Steve Cole said Monday. “The only thing we have discussed is coming back to face the charges.”

If convicted, Snipes, 44, faces up to 16 years in prison.

I think 2090 will reach before he put a foot back on the american soil.
